The 3rd Annual Midwest Police Motorcycle Challenge was hosted by the Lenexa, Kansas Police Department on April 29-30, 2015. Over 30 Motorcycle Police Officers from Kansas, Missouri and Oklahoma attended the event. There were 9 timed obstacle courses that the officers were allowed to practice on and one obstacle course that they could only walk through before riding the course. All courses were timed events. There were three team challenge courses. One team event was with two riders riding tandem hooked together with a magnet chain. The other team event had 4 riders follow each other through an obstacle course. There was also a slow ride 4 rider relay event. The Leavenworth Cruisers Car Club had there monthly cruise at the Haymarket Square in downtown Leavenworth, Kansas on April 22, 2016. The 1320 Street Car Take over kick off party was held on April 16, 2016 near Independence, Mo. The event was held at the vacant Sam’s Club parking lot on 40 Highway and Noland Road. Well over 1000 cars, trucks and motorcycles attend the event. The show was huge for only being it’s 2nd annual show. The Missouri Movies cars were also in attendance. There was every thing from a 1931 Studebaker Knute Rockne Edition Coupe to a 2009 Rossion Q1 Sports Car and everything in between. The weather was very cloudy with temperatures in the 70’s. The Mustang Club of Greater Kansas City held there 2nd Saturday of the Monthly Cruise Night at 103rd and Mastin in Overland Park, Kansas on April 9, 2016. The Car Cruise was open to all vehicles. The 6th Annual Turner High School Auto Tech Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show was held in Kansas City, Kansas on April 9, 2016. This annual event was open to all vehicles. Custom cars, Hot Rod, Rat Rods, Pickup Trucks, and Classic Cars were on display. Approximately 100 vehicles were on display at this years event. The 5th Annual Trucks and Big Rigs for Kids Show, was held at the Theater in the Park in Shawnee, Kansas on April 9, 2016. Johnson County Parks and Recreation sponsors the annual event. The annual event show cases some of the large pubic service vehicles that are needed to help everyone during the year. On display were Public Service vehicles from Shawnee and Lenexa, Kansas and also from Johnson Country Parks and Recreation. Several local Big Rig Tow trucks also attended the annual event. All in all, there were about 40 vehicles on display. Proceeds for the annual event go to JCPRD Special Populations/Special Olympics. The Basehor Boys Monthly Cruise Night was held at Sonic Drive In, in Basehor, Kansas on April 8, 2016. Approximately 100 cars and trucks attended the monthly cruise. The Monthly cruise runs from April to October. Basehor, Kansas is located just six miles west of the Kansas Speedway on Highway 24/40. The weather was very windy with temperatures in the low 60's. The 1st monthly Saturday Cruise of 2016 was held at the Historic Farmers Market in Parkville, Missouri on April 2, 2016. The weather was almost perfect with sunny skies and temperatures in the 60’s. Approximately 250 vehicles showed up for the monthly cruise. Everyone seemed to enjoy the weather, the local shops, and the restaurants, in historic Parkville, Mo.
