I’ve been wanting to do this photo for a very long time. It’s a tribute to the men who flew them in and around Soc Trang, Vietnam. This photo has been photoshopped to look like the Huey’s that I worked on in Vietnam. The background has been changed. It took me awhile to locate and duplicate the decals for the Helicopter. The call sign for the troop-carrying helicopters “Slicks” was the Tigers. There were two platoons of Tigers. There were the blue Tigers and the white Tigers. There was one platoon of “Gun Ships” called the Vikings. Looking back, I’m very proud that I got to work on the communication equipment, “Avionics” on these Helicopters in Vietnam.  To view all my photos from Vietnam, please click on the following link.
